Memory Motel Le Spectacle

If I have been particularly absent in the kitchen these days, it's not because I'm hanging out in other rooms of the house, and no I haven't gone off to some far-away place to lie in the sun (though with this rain, it's tempting); I haven't even joined the circus (although that feels almost right). I've been rehearsing a new project.

The play, Memory Motel - actually the combination of two one acts by contemporary playwright Daniel Keene - will play in Paris from April 16th to July 26th. To build the buzz, one of the other actresses and I have launched a blog about the show. In it we describe (in French, yes) what goes on behind the scenes: our ideas, hopes, rehearsals, anxieties, seasonal colds and the like. Today, there's even a mini-interview of yours truly. I know many of you are too far away to come to the show, but moral support is always appreciated.

Until the show goes up I will probably not be posting here very often (especially since in between, I'm acting in another show Easter weekend and things are a bit crazy), but I'll be back as soon as possible.

Hi, Hopie: Wish I knew French so I could read the other blog. Best of luck. Look forward to your return to the kitchen.

To Sam and Julie and others:
A friend of mine copied and pasted the French text into Google translator - brilliant, no? So, at least you get close to the sense of the copy. Enjoy, Katharine/Hope's Mom
